Private Yoga Sessions:
I’ve found it tough to stick with exercise programs and classes over the years. Due to physical limitations and Arthritis, nothing seemed to keep me going. Kate has opened my mind and heart to the benefits of Yoga and to keeping a promise to show up to the mat. I look forward to her class and to taking time out of my life to “breathe.”
After knowing and loving Kate from her weekly vinyasa classes, I scheduled a private session in an effort to deepen my practice. Her attention to detail and instruction are impeccable. After the first session I noticed an improvement, and it was great to have the one-on-one time to ask questions and get the adjustments I needed. Kate has been a wonderful constant for me, bringing positivity, encouragement and light to every class. I look forward to our weekly classes and I will always be grateful for the peace and balance she has brought to my mind and body!

Kate is a fun, knowledgeable, and creative teacher. She instills confidence in me and pushes me to places in my practice I thought I never would get to. I love Kate’s weekly themes and the way she shares her wealth of knowledge about yoga philosophy. She makes some of the harder concepts accessible for me and is a great storyteller. Taking a yoga class with Kate Goodyear is always an adventure, you never know where she is going to take you but you don’t mind because you know the journey will be wonderful.

For the 2.5 years I’ve been practicing yoga, Kate Goodyear’s classes have been consistently terrific. Although deeply reluctant to tackle yoga in my inflexible late forties, Kate got me to keep returning to the mat and achieve things that were unfathomable a couple of years ago. Beyond being terrific, and often terrifically challenging workouts, Kate’s classes are fun. Kate makes her passion for yoga contagious providing each student with individualized attention throughout her classes. Kate’s weekly themes and exploration of yoga’s philosophical and spiritual aspects rejuvenate much more than the body. You leave her class feeling physically and mentally refreshed. For the absolute beginner through the seasoned yogi, Kate Goodyear’s classes are spectacular.
Corporate Yoga Sessions:
Our company started a Wellness Program in 2012 and we wanted a fitness class of some type. Kate Goodyear was recommended as a yoga instructor and this has proven to be a very good partnership for both Kate and our employees.
Kate is a friendly, yet professional instructor who communicates well and understands that our employees are not all at the same level in yoga. She is flexible and able to work with total beginners as well as helping our intermediate or advanced yoga students, all within the same class. She offers suggestions for ways to keep the class interesting, like moving the class from inside to outside as the weather cooperated. As we become familiar with the movements, she will include new ones and explains what the move is supposed to help strengthen. Kate also explains the ideas and theory of yoga as it is a new experience for many of the attendees.
Kate has helped our Wellness program progress as the yoga classes are popular. We have a steady stream of “regulars” who attend on a weekly basis and new employees who join when we add additional sessions.
We started our first eight week session in May and have added two additional eight week sessions taking us through the beginning of November. Our company goal is to have a healthier employee base so our health costs will decrease. Getting employees to attend a fitness class will be a big help with attaining this, and with Kate’s expertise and fun personality, we hope to continue to encourage our employees to attend her classes.
